Bright apartment with stunning views of the Church of Carmini facade and the picturesque Santa Margherita canal; a design apartment located in the exclusive Dorsoduro district, far from tourist flows but strategically located to visit Venice and many of its hidden corners. The perfect place for couples who wish to experience an unique experience
This apartment in Campo dei Carmini, located within Palazzo Moro, is a true design gem conceived and meticulously curated by Milanese architect and designer Corrado Anselmi in 2000. The two geometric volumes in the hand-troweled lime walls are sculptures that release white glass neon light, made in a Murano glassworks, similar to the shelf/counter that separates the kitchen area. The small steel sink in the bathroom is a cult piece from the 1980s by designer Philip Starck.
The gold-faded panel in the bedroom has cabinetry that does not interrupt the sculptural effect with closed wardrobes. The terrazzo floors, typical of Venice, date back to the first half of the 19th century. The small chandelier in the bathroom is from the 1950s, created by master glassmaker Archimede Seguso. The chair made of African ebony in the living area is a classic by Scottish architect-designer Mackintosh. The green velvet armchair on wheels at the entrance is by Venetian designer Tobia Scarpa.
In the corridor with small geometric panels, designed by architect Mongiardino in the 1960s, and set in contrast/dialogue with the Venetian flooring, there is a vertical panel from the series "I Terrestri" by the famous Venetian painter Ida Barbarigo (1920-2017); she also created the oil painting in the living room that is part of the series "Le seggiole" (1968), exhibited at the Biennale. The table and chairs in the living room are by the design company Kartell.
Close to the lively Campo Santa Margherita with its bars and restaurants, supermarket, and pharmacy. Near the train station, Piazzale Roma, and the waterbus stop.
First floor without elevator, one flight of stairs
